Finale
And just like that... the final days of classes and concerts bring the winter term and 2026-27 academic year to an end, but not before we get to enjoy some terrific year-end performances.
Student composers and chamber group musicians cap their collaborative year with a showcase gala featuring new compositions written by current students. Electroacoustic compositions written by students are also premiered this month.
Choirs sing their annual farewells, with Les Choristes and Western University Singers up first performing on Apr. 3, and Chorale with guests Student Leadership Choral Collective closing out the choral season on Apr. 5.
Symphony Orchestra, Salsa Band, Wind Ensemble, and Symphonic Band all take their final bows this month. Student credit recitals typically continue throughout the month, even after classes conclude on April 9.
The Contemporary Music Studio ended up not running this year. Its end-of-term concert, previously advertised for April 5, will of course no longer take place.

Behind the events
April is always bittersweet as classes end and exams, recitals and final performances continue — to all graduating this spring we send our warmest congratulations!
