Chamber music is a vital aspect of music-making. Playing chamber music fosters listening, awareness, flexibility and collaborating with others. Western's student chamber music program offers various valuable performance opportunities, including year-end recitals, outreach concerts, and other events.

Chamber Music involves a minimum of 3 contact hours per week. Groups are required to rehearse at least twice, totaling two hours, and to attend a 50-minute coaching per week. Upon a successful audition, students are formed into groups, assigned a coach and together these members schedule their contact hours.
