Dozens of visiting artists, educators, composers and scholars from around the world bring global artistry and perspective each year. Many of these unique experiences offered to our students are open to the public to attend.

Clarinet & Saxophone Day 2026

Join us for a day dedicated to exploring, learning, and celebrating everything clarinet and saxophone! Musicians of all levels are invited to take part in this exciting event, hosted by professors Bobbi Thompson and Jana Starling. For 2026, we will be joined by special guest artists John Kurokawa & Dan Graser and leading equipment exhibitors. Enjoy performances, classes, and playing activities throughout the day.

Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra Annual Residency
November 7-9, 2026
This year's Tafelmusik residency features musicians Cristina Zacharais, violin, and Jussif Barakat Martínez, double bass. This residency includes a performance with the Early Music Studio. More details to follow.

Brass Day 2027 will be an all-day event featuring our guest artist Jarrett McCourt, tuba, and Western brass faculty. There will be concerts, classes, and playing opportunities for participants.

Music Education Residency with Jason Noble
March 3-5, 2027
Residency with composer, researcher and educator Jason Noble (he/him/his) who currently serves as Associate Professor of Music Education at The City University of New York (CUNY), Lehman College, and concurrently serves as a part-time faculty member at New York University and a guest faculty artist at the Manhattan School of Music.
Dr. Jason Noble will work with our classes and bands, with all rehearsals and classes open to local music teachers and current students. Contact Sasha Gorbasew agorbase@uwo.ca for more information and to register to attend as a teacher.
