2022-23 Audience Guidelines

Updated November 16, 2022

We are thrilled to have members of the public back in our venues for the 2022-23 concert season.

Masks are not required for audience members. Common areas (including lobbies, hallways and Talbot Eatery) and concert venues are mask-friendly environments, where wearing a mask is your personal choice and no one should make you feel uncomfortable regardless of your decision.

Please complete the Provincial self-assessment tool before arriving on campus.

For full campus guidelines, visit Western's COVID-19 webpage. All questions about event attendance at the Don Wright Faculty of Music may be directed to musicevents@uwo.ca

To purchase advance tickets for 2022-23 opera performances visit the Opera at Western webpage. For more information on ticketing and box office hours, see below.

Concert programs are available online only, and can be downloaded in advance or upon arrival with your smartphone. Programs are also on display outside PDT and vKH. Printed concert programs will be available for all ticketed events (all opera productions and Parsons and Poole Concert) and are included in the price of admission.

Ticket tips and FAQ

Most of the 350+ recitals and concerts held each year at the Don Wright Faculty of Music are free. The decision to charge admission to select performances is for cost-recovery purposes, when production costs outweigh the curriculum’s budget allotment. Thank you for supporting our students and facilities!

Advance tickets

In general, “advance tickets” are available up to 11:59pm (Eastern time) the day before a performance. Visit opera and Parsons and Poole webpages to purchase online.

Door sales

In general, it’s a good idea to purchase tickets in advance whenever possible. All door sales cost $5 more than the advance ticket price and are payable by credit or debit card or with cash. Tickets are available for purchase at the door of the concert or event approximately 45 minutes beforehand. Availability of tickets at the door varies between each event.

Reserved seating

All event seating is unreserved and seating is first-come-first-served in 2022-23, including opera.

Still have questions? Please call 519-661-3767 or email musicevents@uwo.ca

Smoking Policy

Effective July 1, 2019, smoking is not permitted anywhere on campus. This rule is in effect at all times (including weekends, evenings and during intermission) and includes all visitors to campus. Thank you for your understanding and patience. For more information, visit www.uwo.ca/cleartheair.
