2021-22 Audience Guidelines
Updated September 5, 2021 – In-person, public attendance for all advertised concerts, recitals and special events by visitors is currently on hold until at least the end of September. Once finalized, Western's visitor policy will be posted here. All campus visitors will be expected to comply, in additional to any additional health and safety requirements as determined by concert management staff at the Don Wright Faculty of Music.
In the meantime, please continue to enjoy our livestream performances, starting with the Faculty Concert Series on Sunday, September 19.
Thank you for your ongoing patience as we prepare to safely welcome the public back to our halls.
In-person audiences are limited to current Music students, faculty, staff and Music Library staff ONLY, until further notice. Authorized audience members must show Western ID and unique, personalized Concert Pass at the door. Concert Passes are available for pick up in TC 232 during posted business hours or in the MB Lobby prior to select performances. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about Concert Passes.
All questions about event attendance may be directed to email@example.com

Ticket tips and FAQ
Most of the 350+ recitals and concerts held each year at the Don Wright Faculty of Music are free. The decision to charge admission to select performances is for cost-recovery purposes, when production costs outweigh the curriculum’s budget allotment. Thank you for supporting our students and facilities!
The Grand Theatre charges an “order fee” for each ticket order received online or by phone. The order fee is not applied to tickets purchased in advance in person at the Grand Theatre (471 Richmond St., London, ON N6A 3E4). The fee per order remains the same regardless of the number of tickets being purchased. Consider purchasing multiple tickets at once for your group, or purchase all your tickets for the season at once.
In general, “advance tickets” are available via the Grand Theatre until approximately 12 noon on the final business day before a concert or performance. Exceptions apply for a variety of reasons (e.g. number of ticketed events taking place, availability of remaining tickets, staffing, etc.) but overall, we aim to leave them available for advance purchase as long as possible. Advance tickets are not available for purchase via the Don Wright Faculty of Music. Door sales (cash only, subject to an additional $5 fee per ticket) may be available at the venue approximately 45 minutes before each performance.
In general, it’s a good idea to purchase tickets in advance whenever possible. All door sales are cash only and cost $5 more than the advance ticket price. Tickets are available for purchase at the door of the concert or event approximately 45 minutes beforehand. Availability of tickets at the door varies between each event. For example, both fully staged opera productions are reserved seating and select performances can sell out in advance quickly.
All event seating is unreserved and seating is first-come-first-served except for both fully staged opera productions. To select specific seats for the operas in advance, call 519-672-8800 or visit the Grand Theatre box office in person to discuss. Specific seat selection is not available via the Grand Theatre’s online ticket order form.
