Join us for an Oboe Intensive Day at the Don Wright Faculty of Music - a full day of events and activities for oboe with guest artist Andrew Adelson, Solo English Horn of the New Jersey Symphony and Oboe Professor at Rutgers University.
The day will begin with a mini-concert and a masterclass. Following a pizza lunch, the afternoon will be jam-packed with classes focused on helping oboists and English hornists of all ages advance their skills.

Planned Activities
10am - 4pm
- Mini concert featuring guest artist Andrew Adelson and faculty member Shelley Heron
- Performance masterclass with Western students and other classes on reed making, English horn vs oboe, practice techniques, and more
- A massed oboe choir rehearsal and performance at the end of the day
- Jim Mason of Jimboe Products will have a selection of instruments for you to try and Oboerific Reeds will be in attendance.
- A pizza lunch is included
Please note: Participants please bring your instruments if you wish to take part in music-making activities

$25* (including HST). Includes pizza lunch. Oboists and English horn players of all ages are welcome to participate. Pre-registration required by 11:59pm on Thursday, October 24.
