Bob Wiseman is a film composer, songwriter and music teacher who is currently completing a PhD at the Institute For Critical Studies in Improvisation. He discovered or produced many artists including Ron Sexsmith, The Lowest of the Low, Bruce McCulloch of Kids in the Hall, Anhai, and former Canadian member of parliament Andrew Cash. He is a founding member of Blue Rodeo with whom he won 5 Juno Awards. His book "Music Lessons" (ECW Press 2020), is a commentary on music and consciousness.

“Reading Music Lessons is like reading the words of a modern day Sufi. I feel if Rumi was a smart-ass activist musician/teacher in 2020, he’d have written this book.” — Serena Ryder
