Either way, this event is for you! We're also hosting a special event just for teachers, studio instructors and other music educators to learn more about our programming.

9-10am
Meet in Talbot College Atrium
Tours of Don Wright Faculty of Music led by current students

Young Winds observation (Music Education Department). Drop in and observe our popular community beginning band outreach initiative for students in grades 6-9, taught by current students. 

10-11am
Talbot College, room 141
Information session. Information about undergraduate programs and admissions. Faculty, staff and current students will participate

11am-12pm
Meet in Talbot College Atrium
Tours of Don Wright Faculty of Music resume, led by current students

11am-12pm
Music Building, Studio 242 (new location)
Piano Division session/demonstration. Meet with piano faculty and current students.

11:15-2pm
Various side-by-side ensemble rehearsals (schedule below)

University College, Conron Hall (short walk up University Hill)
Liberal Arts Goes to Medical School. Hosted by the Faculty of Arts & Humanities and led by George Kim, Assistant Dean of Medicine, the session will cover medicine admission requirements and is targeted at all prospective students who want to pursue the liberal arts and medical school.

Student composer and chamber music collaboration. Watch some of our student composers working with student chamber music ensembles to showcase their works.

12-1:30pm

Popular Music Studies information session

11:15-2pm
Music Building and Talbot College (rooms listed below)
Large Ensembles side-by-side rehearsals. Bring your instrument! Experience first-hand a variety of some of our ensembles; learn more from conductors and students leading and performing in large ensembles. Spectators welcome.

Faculty student-led tours resume.

A glimpse into First Year Music Theory and Music History. A mini-lecture with Drs Kate Helsen and Jonathan De Souza

3-4pm
Talbot College Atrium
Teacher reception. This will be a special information session for high school and private teachers to meet with our faculty and staff, learn about our current programs and admission requirements along with a reception.

Additional Activities

Student Recitals. It’s recital season at the Don Wright Faculty of Music. Visit our Events Calendar for a full schedule of recitals available to enjoy today, with planned start times between 12pm and 6pm.

If you're still in town for the evening, we're also thrilled to host the London Gospel Collective for a concert with two of our choirs at 7:30pm in Paul Davenport Theatre.
