Lydia Wilton is a music producer, recording artist, and PhD candidate in Musicology at Western University. Her research focuses on record production and the creative production process, with a soft spot for female voices and creators. She holds a Master of Arts in Popular Music and Culture, a BA Major in Popular Music, a gold medal from Western University, and was awarded an Ontario Graduate Scholarship in 2021.

Lydia’s discography spans musical theatre, basement punk, classical choir, and glam rock. Her work has been covered in local press like London FUSE, national press like CBC Kids, and international press like Helly Cherry in Serbia. She is also known as Number One, the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter of touring rock band Nameless Friends. 

Lydia's other research interests include embodied cognition and custom guitar building. Her latest release, Nameless Friends' Live At Stranded Fest, is out on streaming platforms now.
