Lydia Wilton is a music producer, recording artist, and PhD student in Musicology at Western University. Her research focuses on record production and the creative process, with a soft spot for female voices and creators. She holds a Master of Arts in Popular Music and Culture, a BA Major in Popular Music, and a gold medal from Western University.

Lydia’s discography includes credits in German pop, Canadian video games, and several indie releases: most recently, Nameless Friends’ “Live at Stranded Fest”. She is an active member of the London music community, and while at Western has had the privilege of working with local organizations such as Chor Amica and the FCLMA London Music Awards. 

Lydia is also known as Number One, the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter of touring rock band Nameless Friends. Her other research interests accordingly include songwriting, audio engineering, custom guitar building, and the embodied science of music.
