Office: TC 409
An Indonesian pianist, Leo has performed in Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. His performances have been featured on national television as well as on local radio stations in the Philippines and Indonesia. Earlier in 2019, Leo won first prizes in the Maritsa Brookes Concerto Competition and the London Music Scholarship Foundation Competition at Western University. He also earned both his Performance Diploma and Licentiate (LRSM) from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music with the highest distinction. He is indebted to the tutelage of Dr. Leslie Kinton and Prof. Iswargia Sudarno, who were both students of Karl Ulrich Schnabel, whose lineage of teaching can be traced back to Beethoven.
Currently, Leo is pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at Western University. His research focuses on Colin McPhee's transcriptions of Balinese Gamelan music for piano.
