An experienced and convincing performer, soprano Andrea Willis has sung opera roles, oratorios and recitals in Canada and in Italy. She appeared as Despina in UWOpera’s production of Così fan tutte. She sang the role of Nella in Gianni Schicchi in Novefeltria, Italy with La Musica Lirica. For UWOpera she was a charming Flora in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw. In the last year Andrea appeared with the Stratford Summer Music Festival and toured with London’s Can of Soup Co. As a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate, her research is focussed on Canadian women composers, specifically the work of Ana Sokolovic.

Andrea earned her Bachelor of Music from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, her ARCT in Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and her Master of Music from the Western University in London. She is an experienced voice and piano teacher, examiner and festival adjudicator for conservatories in Niagara and Milton. Andrea currently operates a private teaching studio in London where she also works as a church soloist and voice expert in local high school music programs.
