DMA student Yumi Jang earns Gold Prize in 2022 International European Classical Music Pianist Award competition
Warmest congratulations to current DMA student pianist Yumi Jang, who recently won the Gold Prize in the 2022 International European Classical Music Pianist Award Competition (Professional Category), with 82 candidates from over 11 countries competing in this competition.
Yumi also won the Gold Prize and was declared Country Representative Winner (Professional Category) in the 2022 International European Autumn Competition with 155 candidates from over 13 countries competing in this competition.
Yumi earned her Master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University and completed her undergraduate degree at Yonsei University in South Korea. At Western, Yumi is completing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree, studying with Kyung Kim.
