Voice Student Colin Bell Semi-Finalist at NATS National Competition in Chicago
Colin Bell, tenor, who has just completed his 2nd year in Voice Performance in Gloria Gassi’s Voice studio, will be representing Western University as a semi-finalist in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition held in Chicago, July 2016 at the NATS National Conference (#NATSinChicago).
Colin is a winner in the category of Second Year Men, Great Lakes Regionals, held at Western in February 2016. He was subsequently chosen to enter the YouTube competition in April 2016 for which he became eligible to move to the semifinals.
He received the following comment from the adjudication: "Full, resonant, easily produced tenor from top to bottom, bravo. Excellent command of languages and diction, musical singing throughout." Colin was also voted “most promising singer” at the Ontario NATS auditions in November 2014.
The semifinals will be held, Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Roosevelt University, Chicago with the finals on Sunday, July 10, at the Chicago Marriott Magnificent Mile. Detailed competition information.
