Biography

Kate is a PhD candidate in Music Theory and is pursuing a Collaborative Specialization in Music Cognition. Previously, Kate completed an MA in Music Theory at Western University (2020), a BMus in Music Composition from Memorial University of Newfoundland (2017), and diplomas in flute performance and pedagogy from Camosun College and the Victoria Conservatory of Music (2014). She studied flute and piano until the end of her Bachelor’s degree, and continues to play the piano, flute, and bass flute as time allows.
