Lent Solomon Fund in Experiential Learning in Music

The Lent Solomon Fund in Experiential Learning in Music was created by the family of Dr. Barbara Lent, in honour of her 70th birthday. Barbara is an active member of the New Horizons Band at Western Music and is committed to youth music and education.

Opportunity for Current Students

This experiential learning opportunity is available to undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full-time in a Bachelor or Master of Music program offered by the Don Wright Faculty of Music. Support will be provided to students who are engaged in leading/mentoring/coaching and/or teaching within a community non-profit organization, such as the Boys and Girls Club.

Please note this is a paid opportunity, generously funded by Lent Solomon Fund.

Selection Process

Based on applications received via the form below, the faculty will consider the student’s performance ability and the music education needs of the community non-profit organization where the student will complete the experiential opportunity.

The Dean’s Office in the Don Wright Faculty of Music will determine the timing and format of the selection process.
