Music, Craft, and the Fibre Arts: Textures in Conversation takes place September 18-20, 2026. The event will feature music performances, art exhibitions and demonstrations; community crafting; an Indigenous arts event; and an academic symposium.

Sharon Wei led a musical gallery inspired by Western University's Northern Tornadoes Project and other weather and nature-inspired research.
Research-Creation Showcase (2020)
Professors Robert Toft and Sharon Wei were featured, alongside researchers from the Faculty of Information and Media Studies, Faculty of Health Sciences (Nursing), and Faculty of Arts and Humanities, at a Research-Creation Showcase event hosted in the Music Building by Assistant Dean of Research, Emily Abrams Ansari.
