Established in the fall of 2022 and one of Western’s newest ensembles, the Pop Band is a large format ensemble playing North American popular music ranging from the 1950s to present day. Selections include small-format intimate pieces to large-format dance-oriented tunes with a full horn section.

This course prepares musicians for professional situations they may encounter in their future, including composing adaptations and arrangements of famous tunes for the ensemble.
