Artur Kapron is a PhD candidate in Music Education at Western University. Artur completed his Honours Bachelor of Music at McMaster University in 2014, with focuses in piano performance, accompaniment, and chamber music. He teaches piano, guitar, theory, and popular music ensemble programs at various music studios and privately in Hamilton, Ontario. He also completed his Master’s degree in music education at Western University in 2016.
His research focuses on sound fidelity mediated by mixing and sound engineering practices granted by digital audio workstations and he aspires to include these practices within music education pedagogy. In addition to music education, Artur’s other subject interests include music philosophy, sociology, and sound studies.
