Tours will depart frequently from the Atrium. Coffee and refreshments will be available.


Information session

10 - 11:30 a.m.

Learn about our programs and audition process/requirements. Admissions staff, faculty members and Students' Council representatives will be on hand to answer questions after the presentation.

Between 11:30 a.m. and  12:50 p.m., students will have opportunity to sit in with some of our Large Ensembles in rehearsal. Experience performing and interacting with our students and ensemble directors. Prospective students can bring their instrument and perform alongside or just sit and audit if they would like.


String information session

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Violin and Cello professors Annette-Barbara Vogel and Tom Wiebe will do a short performance and Q and A for prospective string students.


Piano masterclass

1 - 2 p.m.
Studio 242, Music Building
Professor Stephan Sylvestre will present a masterclass featuring students from his studio.


Pop Music information session

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Room 200, Talbot College
Matt Shevlock will present a Pop Music demonstration as well as Q & A about our program.


Percussion meet and greet

1:15 - 2:00 p.m.
Room 48, Music Building
Professor Jill Ball will present a short performance of our percussion ensemble and Q and A about the percussion studio.

Opera at Western: Spring Gala Favourite Scenes

2 - 3:30 p.m.
Paul Davenport Theatre, Talbot College
A limited number of complimentary tickets are available for this performance for registered March Break Open House participants on a first come basis. Please contact Sasha Gorbasew to secure tickets. Professor Ted Baerg will be on hand to do a Q & A about our Opera Program after the production in the Theatre.


Student Recitals
