Samuel Silva is a music teacher from Brasília, Brazil, working full-time since 1996 for Brasília’s Education Department, predominantly in the Music School of Brasília, an institution he has collaborated with for over sixteen years. He has taught general music courses (music theory, solfeggio, ear training), digital music scoring, and sang in the Madrigal de Brasília.
Samuel holds a degree in Arts Education with a major in music (University of Brasília, Brazil, 1996), a Specialization in Brazilian music (Federal University of Goiás, Brazil, 2004), and two master’s degrees: one in Music, Creation and Expression (Federal University of Goiás, Brazil, 2009), and the other, in Music Education (University of Toronto, 2015). His research interest is about the implications of fragmentation in the quotidian life of those involved with music.
