TBC (winter/spring 2018)
The Western 360 Summer Music Festival is a chamber music festival open to senior high school students (grades 9, 10, 11 and 12) and undergraduate college/university students. The 2017 festival is restricted to strings only - violin, viola, and cello. 2018 instruments TBC.
Candidates must supply a link to a video recording (e.g. YouTube) containing five minutes of solo repertoire (candidates' own choice) and verbal responses to three questions listed in the application form.
Accommodation and food are the responsibility of the participants. Various places to stay on and off campus are available at a reasonable cost and a list of on-campus and off-campus accommodations will be provided, later, on this site.
Located in the centre of southwestern Ontario, London is approximately two hours driving distance from Toronto and Detroit. The London International Airport offers direct flights to Toronto, Ottawa, and Calgary, as well as many other connections to several Canadian destinations. London is also easily reached by Via Rail and Greyhound Bus.
